78, of Chandler, Arizona, died Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Mr. Noble was a 1957 graduate of St. Peter's College, New Jersey, and received his law degree cum laude from St. John's University School of Law in New York in 1961. He was employed under the Attorney General's Program for Honor Law Graduates as a trial attorney in the Justice Department's Antitrust Division from 1961 - 1967 and later was Assistant General Counsel of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Mr. Noble entered private practice in Washington, D.C., in 1971 and in 1976 was a founding partner of the firm of Noble, Greenspan & Austin, which in 1980 merged to form the Washington office of Thompson & Mitchell, a St. Louis-based firm. He retired from the practice of law in 1986. Mr. Noble is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan Meehan Noble, and his four children: MarySue Noble of Pittsburgh, PA; Lawrence F. Noble, Jr. and his wife, Karen Noble of Chandler, AZ; Nancy Noble Slattery and her husband Matthew Slattery of Shrewsbury, PA; and James S. Noble and his wife Michelle Noble of Altadena, CA. He also is survived by his 12 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to
, Chicago (www.mercyhome.org). A viewing will be held from 6p-8p on April 30th at Bueler Chandler Mortuary. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 10a on May 1st at St. Steven's Catholic Church in Chandler-Sun Lakes.
