Stockton, Donna Mae
82, of Sun Lakes, AZ, was welcomed home into the arms of Jesus on August 16, 2014 from a short hard battle with colon cancer. Born September 17, 1931 to George and Helen Reinders of Marysville, Kansas, Donna was the one and only daughter, and the youngest of their two children. She is survived by her older brother, Bill Reinders of Green Valley, AZ and her 3 children; Leslie Anne Moller of Chico, CA; Blake Stockton of Mesa, AZ; Cal Stockton of Phoenix, AZ, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Miss Reinders, a cheerleader & graduated from Marysville H. S. then attended Emperia State Teachers College in Kansas and concurrently was employed by the Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Topeka, KS. It was during this time, she met William Blake "Bill" Stockton, a Staff Sargent stationed at Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka, Kansas. On March 9, 1951 they were married at Memorial Presbyterian Church in Marysville. In 1956 Donna and Bill moved to Phoenix, AZ where Bill was employed at AiResearch/Garrett/Allied Signal. As a devoted wife, mother and homemaker until 1972, she too went to work for AiResearch for 19 years as an Executive Secretary. Donna had a gift of writing poetry, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Participating in many bowling leagues, she was the high scoring "lefty" on many teams. Her family was always blessed with a favorite recipe she made especially with them in mind as an expression of her love. Her banana nut bread was famous. Donna loved to dance, especially with her man of 53 yrs of marriage, whom she lovingly called "Willy B". Their love was sparked on the dance floor when they first met and now glows more than ever together in Heaven.
