Nick Irvine Obituary

Irvine, Nick Michael
Every so often, a young person is taken from us and it just makes you wonder if the people on the other side needed a soul with a lot of love, passion and a good sense-of-humor to shake things up a bit. That's certainly the case with Nick Michael Irvine, 34, a wonderful husband, father, son and brother who began his eternal peace on October 1, 2008. Blessed with the ability to live each day to the fullest, Nick's goofiness kept those around him a little more light-hearted than they would have been without him and it's hard not to smile when thinking about him, even in this time of intense sorrow. Nick was born October 14, 1973, to a loving family, and his free spirit provided proof that this physical world was created to enjoy to its fullest. Preceded in death by his father Michael Sterling Irvine, Nick was the second of two children. Nick is survived by his Mother, Patty Manley and Step Father Michael Manley. Nick met his wife, Donna Irvine, and it wasn't long before they were inseparable. Nick's spirit will live on in his only child, James Michael Irvine (8). A former United States Marine and a resident of Phoenix Arizona, Nick worked in management for Camidor Property Services. He loved spending time with his family, playing cards, hunting, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities. Nick will also be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his siblings: Mandy Parent (Keith Parent), Coby Irvine, Shayne Wilhite and April Haile (Ryan Haile), and best friend Jeremy Barnes. He is further survived by his grandmother, Doris Sawaya and preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ned Bailey and James Irvine and his grandmother, LoDema Irvine. A celebration of Nick's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers, an account has been established at Bank of America under the name of "The Irvine Contribution" for his surviving son and wife.

POEM OF LIFE

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord

My brother, my friend, I love you & have looked up to you for all my life. You taught me the importance of family & to stand up for them. I will always remember fishing with you on the Provo & screwing around in City Creek Canyon when we were kids living in the Avenues & the countless other adventures we shared growing up together. You will always be in our hearts & we will always remember our brother, father, son, uncle, grandson & best friend. Your free spirit will be missed every day we are apart, but will live on in our memories forever. Love, your little brother
