81, passed away September 12, 2009. He was born in Fairhaven, MA. After high school, Fred started his 28 year career with the United States Navy, where he honorably served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam as a Marine Engineer and was a proud "Mustang". After retiring from the U.S.N., Fred started with NASCO as a Guarantee Officer for USNHS Mercy and Comfort. After retiring again in 1990, "The Misplaced Cowboy", finally moved to Arizona. Fred was actively involved with his church, as Head Alter Server, and was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Frances; daughter, Michele (Thomas) Beaudoin, Kathy (Brian) McDermott, Bernadette (Steven) Moniz and Jeannette (Terry) Bluck, 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5-8PM with Rosary at 7PM on Wednesday September 16, 2009 at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Thursday September 17, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 19002 N. 128th Ave., Sun City West, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in the name of Fred Thibeault to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Arizona Chapter 5025 E. Washington St., Suite 102, Phoenix, AZ 85034-2005.
