85 passed away Monday May 16th, 2011. Bill was born in Milton, Mass on November 8, 1925. Upon graduating from high school he enlisted in the US Marines. Serving in WW 11 and Korean conflict. He is survived by his loving wife Edie whom he affectionately called his "dearest sweetest joy" of 63 years. In addition to his wife Edie, Bill is survived by sons Jeff, Mark, Greg, Kevin and daughter Karen, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Sister Thelma Osborne numerous nieces and nephews. Bill's last employment was with Honeywell Corp. During his assignment in Iran, they were able to travel to many countries and made lasting friends. Upon retirement they purchased a RV and toured the United States, spending time with family and friends. After 8 nomadic years they settled in Carlsbad, CA. A Memorial service is planned for Friday, May 27th 11:00 am at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at Pinnacle Peak & Cave Creek Rd. Bill was strong and determined to not let bad hips and Alzheimer's keep him down, so he continued his daily walks to the ocean that he loved so much. In lieu of flowers donations requested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 W. Flower St. Phx, AZ 85014 and Salvation Army. A celebration of life gathering immediately following the service at his daughter Karen's home.
