Dean, Guy Hamilton
Guy Hamilton Dean, passed away September 18, 2011, at the age of 88. He was a native of New Mexico, but has lived in Arizona since 1952. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, then completed his college education at New Mexico State University. With degree in hand, he then went to work for J.C. Penney for the next 33 years. The last 16 years of his career were spent in Tucson where he managed the downtown Penney store at El Con Shopping Center. He loved his family, his church, flying his plane, being a Rotarian, and playing golf. Right up until his death he also spent a lot of time each day on his computer, corresponding with family and friends and checking out the state of the world. Guy was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers, and T.J., his wife of 64 years. He is survived by his 3 daughters: Dana Midtun (Lee), Carol Hunter and Susie Kreitzer. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. All of us miss his love, sense of humor, and quiet dignity. Services and interment will be held at 11AM, Wednesday, September 21, 2011, Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children's Home of Lubbock, P.O. Box 2824, Lubbock, TX, 79408 or Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
