I remember working with Dr Mickle. He was a very caring Doctor to his patients and care team. I remember him most as a very genuine, dear man and a wonderful friend. I did some artwork in his office for pediatric patients. He died soon after. I still think of him on occasion when I do my artwork. Although it´s sad, I focus on the great attributes of this man and it makes me smile to have known him while he was still with us.

I was stunned to hear of the tragic death of Rick. My deepest sympathies to you, Mick, and your entire family. I knew Rick as a young man. Rick always had more energy than us all, a smile and laugh for every situation, and the light in the room when he entered. I am not surprised that he went on to such an impressive career helping others. To his family, please know that there are those many of you have never met who mourn the loss of your brother, father, uncle, and friend.

Over the past few years, I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Mickle. He was a very nice person and he always had kind words for those around him. As a physician/surgeon, he was good to his patients, worked hard and made the atmosphere in OR very positive.
I also know that he was a man of deep faith, as he attended mass at my church during the week, as well as on the weekend.
There is no doubt that Dr. Mickle had great love for his sons. My thoughts and prayers will be with them during this difficult time.
