Jane Wasson

There are never the right words to adequately express one's sympathies to a loving family such as that of Buddy Dobbs. My prayers have been that you each will be comforted in the knowledge of Buddy being a faithful child of God and living the Christian life - a strong and compelling example to others - for nothing is more important than that. Doris, I want to tell you again as I have said to you personally over these more than 30 years, you are one of only a handful of individuals (2 of which are my maternal grandparents) who have impacted my life in such a strong and positive way as to keep me focused on the cross through many difficult times over many years. I have not and never will forget the years of teaching with you and time spent with you otherwise. When I look at you, I see and feel the power of the Holy Spirit, and this past year or so you have demonstrated even more emphatically His power in your unfailing commitment to Him through all of your many health difficulties. When I think about you, I am comforted and further encouraged by your strong and unfailing commitment to God and I am comforted by the fact that you have a loving family that will provide the support system you need. I love you as my Christian sister more than I could ever express and you will never leave my thoughts, my heart or my prayers. In Him, Jane Wasson

Well I'm sorry to say that I didn't really know Buddy very well. As a matter of fact I wish I knew all of the Dobbs family a lot better than I do. I have learn to put all the faces and names together. I know most people by sight, but not by name. I'm sure he was a great guy. I certainly know what it feels like to lose a spouse, who is so close to you; you have become one. All my sympathy goes out to the entire family.

I was so sorry to hear of 'Dad Dobbs" passing. Growing up I felt part of the Dobbs family, he was always there with a smile for me, always a quite and gentel man, always made you feel welcomed and loved. There are so many memories I have of him, over 42 yrs I've known him and his family. He will be missed, but I know I will see him again in Heaven.

Uncle Buddy was always smiling. His smiling and kindness will always be remembered.

My favorite memory was of him being the first person through the door after everyone arrived to bring Grandma back home. We'd just spent ten of the most frantic minutes of my life "cleaning" the house (throwing everything into my room) after the cousins car arrived first. He leaned into the front bedroom and said "surprised ya did we?" to my friend who was making the bed, I can't help but smile thinking of it now.

Uncle Buddy was the quietest wealth of brilliance and depth a man could be, he will be missed and his memory will always bring a smile to my face and heart.....
