64, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on January 17, 2012. He was born June 8th, 1947 in Evansville, Indiana. Dave entered the Navy at age 17 on November 20, 1964. Although he wanted to become a Corpsman, he was assigned to several training schools, including Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare. He was classified as a Sonar Technician (E6), providing computer maintenance on the USS James E. Kyes and the USS Somers. After his discharge from the Navy, in November of 1970, he was employed by Burroughs Corporation to interface computer technology with the banking industry. In June of 1973, he was employed by Honeywell Information Systems as a Field Engineer, working with large scale date processing systems. Dave trained and worked as a member of the Phoenix Police Reserve from September 1976 until December, 1977, when he was hired by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff. He left the Sheriff's Office on January 25, 1985, after working in Special Investigations, for approximately five years, to accept a position with the Arizona State Attorney Generals Office. He retired December 31, 2009 from the AG's Office. Dave is survived by his loving wife of nearly 47 years, Anne J. Baize; his daughters, Laurie Anne and Shari Lynn Baize; his cherished grandchildren, Louis Allen (Tia) Baize, Lance Aaron (Eva) Baize and Lisa Marie Barker; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Christian, Amanda Marie-Lynn, and Shawn Riley James Baize. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 AM, Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Family Life Assembly of God, 5402 West Union Hills Dr., Glendale, AZ. Burial will take place at 12:30, following the Funeral Service, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ.
