Moore, Owen Thomas
94, went to his Lord September 28, 2012, at Hospice of the Valley in Peoria, Az. He was born December 12, 1917 in Marshalltown, Ia. and grew up on a farm near Ferguson, Ia. He attended Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, Mo. He was a steno at John Morrell & Co. in Ottumwa, Ia., served in the Merchant Marines during WWII, moved to Denver, Co. and was a private secretary at Fox Inter-Mountain Theatres, an accountant at Texaco. He joined Boettcher & Co. as a Bond Buyer for Northern Colorado, Wyoming, and Las Vegas in 1955. In 1965, moved to Fort Collins and was appointed as a specialist in investment and reinvestment of bank funds for First National Bank of Fort Collins before returning to Boettcher & Co. in 1974. Owen retired to Sun City West , Az. and was a founding member and president of Sun City West Prides, president of Copper Enameling Club, president of White Rock Home Owners Assoc., a monitor at the Recreation Center's billiards room, lawn bowled and played bocce. He was a devote member of Palm West Community Church. Owen was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Elsie Moore, his wife of 48 years, Maxine, and his son Owen Jr. He will be missed by his wife, June, son David of Denver, Co., granddaughters , Jenny Moore(Sam), Katie Moore, Briar (Paul) all of Denver, Co. and their mother, Diana Moore of Greeley, Co. Owen's life will be celebrated at Palm West Community Church October 6 at 11 a.m. Memorial contrib
