88, of Gilbert, AZ passed away on February 27, 2013. Ruth passed away peacefully at Sunrise Senior Living with her loving daughter-in-law Melia Lane at her side. Ruth was born November 22, 1924 in Fennimore, WI. She was the third of five children to Rudolph and Frieda Henke. Ruth worked for the Sante Fe Railroad, as a clerk, for 31 years. During her career there she met and married Frank Carlton Lane on Dec 5, 1948. After which, they settled in La Juanta, CO and welcomed their only child, Lee Carlton Lane on November 29, 1949. Ruth and her husband retired from the railroad in 1976 and relocated to Chandler, AZ to be near their son, Lee and his family, who were stationed at Williams Air Force Base. After retirement, she and Frank were avid travelers for over 25 years. Ruth spent her entire life as a devoted member of the Lutheran church. She and her husband were a servants of the Lord at Christ Greenfield Lutheran church for many years. Following retirement, she worked at Ward City; Mesa Verde and Lake Powell RV parks, became a uniquely talented crafts maker and dearly enjoyed being a loving and devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Ruth and Frank enjoyed a long and wonderful marriage of 58 years until his death Dec. 7, 2006. She also helped lay to rest their son, Lee Carlton Lane who passed away Dec. 24, 2012. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Melia Faith Lane, Grandchildren Lee Carlton Lane Jr. and wife Amie, Shandrieca Hope Carrion and husband Jose, Great Grandchildren Drew Ostercamp, Shelby, Makenna and Madeline Lane and Leena Carrion. Her only living sibling John and wife Nancy Henke, and many nieces and nephews of Minnesota. Also, many faithful friends. Viewing and church services will be held March 6th at Christ Greenfield Lutheran Church, 425 N Greenfield Rd, Gilbert AZ starting at 10am. Lunch will be provided by the church following services. Graveside service will be at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler AZ at 1:30pm. Contributions can be made to Christ Greenfield Lutheran Church in Ruth
