76, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. John was a gentleman with great humor till the end. He graced us with his presence in this life and left this life with grace. John's love of family and faith will be forever stamped on the hearts of those he leaves behind. John is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jacquelyn; his sons John Jr. and Thomas; his daughter Joni; son-in-law William Lieberman; granddaughters Kayla & Valerie Dimuro and several nieces, nephews and great nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Delphina and Gigonte Costa, his brother, Raymond and his son, Robert. John's love of life, sports, art and people touched many in Sun City Grand, Arizona where he's lived for the past 15 years, as well as in New York (born in the Bronx, and proud of it) and Connecticut where he lived and worked before moving to Arizona. John - JC - Johnny, whatever endearing name you may have called him, will be deeply missed by many family, friends and co-workers from Hawaii (his favorite vacation site) to The Valley of the Sun to New York and Connecticut. He touched hearts everywhere. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to The . Visitation will be held at Camino del Sol Funeral Home 13738 Camino Del Sol, Sun City West on Wednesday, March 20th, from 7-9 pm with a memorial mass at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 14818 W. Deer Valley Road, Sun city West on Thursday, March 21st at 10am. John will be flown to New York for burial with his parents and son. (For Connecticut Post) - A graveside service for family and friends will be followed by his burial at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280-284 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY 10530 (phone 914-693-4700).
