Told, Jeanne E.
83, formerly of Sun City West passed away on April 26, 2013 in Salem, OR. She was born Ora Jeanne Eischen on March 21, 1930 to Andrew and Captola Eischen. She met the love of her life, James Ventress Told and was married for 62 years until his death April 7, 2012. Jim and Jeanne moved their family from Ohio in 1956 to Phoenix AZ. On April 8th one year after Jim's death she had a massive stroke and never recovered. She died of a broken heart. Jeanne volunteered at the Banner Hospital SCW for many years where she rocked the new babies and loved to crochet hats and booties for them. When she arrived in Salem, OR she returned to her volunteer work at the Salem Senior Center and Salem Hospital. She was a devoted mother and a true friend to all she met. She leaves behind her 3 loving children, Kenneth (Andrea) Told, Shoreline WA, Terri (Jim) Cedarstrom, Dewey, AZ and Chip Told, Salem OR. Two grandchildren Brandon Told and Valerie (Murlless) Fox and two adorable great granddaughters Olivia and Delaney Fox as well as her brother Jim Eischen, Payson AZ and two sister-in-laws Virginia Bay and Carolyn McAfee both of Ohio. She maintained life long friendships with many of her special friends such as Arlene K., Ava & Bob, Mary C. and her newest friends Bethany R. and Donna B. Jeanne's wishes were to not have a funeral but to celebrate her life with the scattering of her ashes in her and Jim's favorite places. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to any animal organization or Hospice in her name. Mom, we will miss you terribly and will cherish our memories of you until we meet again.
