Christine A. Thiele Obituary
Thiele, Christine A. "Tina"
61, of Anchorage, AK & Phoenix, AZ passed away on October 6, 2013. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January and passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Christine was a resident of Alaska who spent part of each year in Arizona where she had many close family members and friends. She grew up in Sacramento, CA and Federal Way, WA, and worked as a model in Japan after high school. In 1976 she moved to Alaska with family, including her parents, Nellie "Sue" Sieber and Roger W. Sieber. Christine was a flight attendant for Wien Air Alaska until 1984. She then worked as an office manager after graduating from Charter College in 1987 while raising three sons. Christine met her husband, Karl "Jake" Thiele, a former Wien Air Alaska pilot, at a company reunion. They married in 1992 and spent more than 20 joyful years together. Christine was passionately devoted to her family and grandchildren, and loved movies, cooking and simply spending time with her family. Her family wrote: "Tina was a truly amazing mother, wife, friend and person who was an important and positive influence on many people over the years. The values that she deeply believed in she also instilled in each of us: valuing your family and those dear to you above all else, treating them with love and respect, and the necessity of laughter. We miss her greatly." Christine was preceded in death by her brother, Roger J. Sieber, and her mother, Nellie "Sue" Sieber. She is survived by her husband; her son Jordan Thiele; her son Nate Warren and his wife, Lisa, and their sons, James and Jacob; her son Ryan Warren and his wife, Amy, and their daughter, Natalie; and her niece, April Sieber. She will also be deeply missed by many, including her son's in-laws, Mary and Robert Hicks; their son Nathan Hicks and his wife, Tabri, and their daughter, Alexis; and her best friend Marie Usuquen and her family. There will be a celebration of Christine's life at their home in Anchorage in the summer of 2014. Her family is currently raising money in Christine's honor in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at
