Vasilius Constantine Vovakes died October 13, 2013 in Mesa, AZ where he had lived for over 50 years. Bill, as he was known, was 92, and was born March 14, 1921 in Harrisburg, PA to Michael and Carrie Vovakes. As a young man his adeptness at playing pinball machines earned him the nickname Skill. He went to technical school on the GI Bill and became a draftsman. Over the years he worked for defense contractors and finished his career with Motorola.
