Barbara J. Edwards, 86, passed away on April 13, 2014, due to injuries from a car accident. Born in Waterloo, IA on Feb. 24, 1928 to William and Edith (Hughes) Bunn. After HS graduation, she graduated from The Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, MN. Married Donald Edwards on August 29, 1953 in Waterloo, IA. Don preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2011. Barb worked at U of IA Hospitals in research for 40 years. Barb was a Cubs enthusiast; hoping to see them win a World Series. She was very active in and a life member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was also a 30 year member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts and leaves many keepsakes. Barb also enjoyed playing cards; especially with her Friday Friends and with Palm Shadows neighbors. Barb was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother. Barb will be missed by her son Jon (Nikki) of Edina, MN, son Craig (Sara) of St. Louis Park, MN and her grandchildren; Nichole (Daren) Mairs, Mikel, Andrea (Matt) Zuckerman, Kristopher & Chelsea Edwards and her coveted great-grandchildren; Connor and Asher Zuckerman, Noelle Mairs and Riley Edwards and one brother J.R (Wilma) Bunn, three nieces and one nephew. There will be a Memorial Service for Barbara Bunn Edwards at 1pm on Sunday, April 27th, 2014 at Palm Shadows in Glendale, Arizona in their auditorium. Her burial will be next to her husband in Waterloo, IA. at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to A. L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary.
