Bonnie Jean Dew
Bonnie Jean Dew, 76, of Avondale, Az went to meet her Savior on December 30, 2003. Bonnie was born in Caraway, Arkansas on May 9, 1927. She moved to Arizona with her family in 1958. Bonnie was employed by Jeff's Food Fair for 11 years and then A.J. Bayless for 19 years retiring in 1989.- Bonnie was a proud member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale. She was a devoted member of the Rebecca's Queen Ester Lodge #32 for 21 years and held many offices including Noble Grand. Bonnie was also an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post 10308, holding the past offices of President and Chaplain.-
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill A. Dew, brothers, Earl and Don Brewer and sister, Pearl Jones. She is survived by her sister Irene Pennington; her 4 sons: Claude, Will, Don and Lynn; 4 daughters-in-law: Cricket, Patty, Sherry and Emma; 5 grandchildren: Danny, Tammy, Tiffany, Andy and Justin; 3 great-grandchildren: Sarah, Savannah and Casey; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dearest friend of 43 years, Sally Melton.- Visitation will be held at Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, AZ on Wednesday, January 7, 2004 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 8th at the First Southern Baptist Church, 1001 N. Central Ave., Avondale, AZ. The burial service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in her honor may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of AZ, 315 S. 48th St., Ste. 101, Tempe, AZ 85281-2343.- Bonnie will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
