Alfred Robert Waldram Jr. 8-26-1937 --- 4-19-2013 Al (aka Sonny), 75, went to be with The Lord and Savior on April 19, 2013 after a battle with heart disease. Al is predeceased by his father, mother, and stepmother. Al was born in Bakersfield on August 26,1937. He lived in Bakersfield his entire life. He graduated from Bakersfield High School and attended Bakersfield College. Shortly after school he joined the Navy Reserves. In 1957 he married his first wife Nancy and had three beautiful children. Al was very active with his son in Boy Scouts and his daughters in softball. In 1990 he married his second wife and was blessed with her four children. Al loved camping, fishing and spending time with his family an special friends Lee Reed, Harold Kightlinger, an Perry. Al loved life and had many friends. He loved to tinker in his shop an on his motor home. During football season you always caught him cheering on his SF 49rs. He will be missed by everyone. Al is survived by his wife Jeane, his sister Tamara Bowman, his daughters Karen Navejas (Sammy) Vicki Sandrini (Steve) son Scott (Terri). His step daughters Laura Lamas, Tracy Womack (Mike) , Alta Cruz, stepson Don (Shelly). 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and his beloved 2 dogs Yoli an Bianca. REST IN PEACE DAD. WE LOVE YOU.. Services will be Friday April 26 th 10:00 am and visitation on Thurs. 25 th from 4:00-7:00 pm at Greenlawn Mortuary River Blvd. Funeral Home www.bakersfield.com/obits

I knew him as a kind and loving young man and a wonderful adult. He and I were friends through high school and after. He was always there with a great smile and a big hug. He will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace dear friend. Jodi

So sorry to hear of your loss. Al was such a great Scoutmaster, and funny as could be. Campouts were more fun than you can imagine, and he was always there when you needed him to be serious as well. I know that his service to his Scouts had to come, at times, at an inconvenience to his family, so I am grateful and say thanks to you all for allowing him to be there for us. I know he will be missed.
