Angel David Comelli(1923 - 2013)

Angel David Comelli November 13,1923 -September 22, 2013 Angel was born in Argentina on November 13, 1923 to Pablo and Felisa Comelli. He married Anastasia Rudko and they had 3 children: Daniel, Nora and Ruben. In Argentina, he worked as a pastor for the Methodist church until 1958 when the family moved to Los Angeles. There he worked as a carpenter making fine cabinetry until retirement. He was involved in ministry throughout his entire life because his passionate desire was that everyone would come to know Christ as their Savior. He was very active in church leadership and growth. He planted hispanic churches in the Los Angeles and Kern county areas. He generously used his gift of hospitality by welcoming people in need into his home. Later in life he created Comelli Prison Ministries to encourage and support hispanic prisoners through correspondence, which he faithfully continued until his passing. " I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith." II Timothy 4:7 He is survived by his brother Roberto Comelli, brother-in-law Paul and Ruth Rudko, his children Daniel and Mary Comelli, Nora Comelli, and Ruben and Lydia Comelli, his grandchildren David and Matise Comelli, Deanna and Rogelio Padilla, Ruth omelli-Rodriguez and Isaac Comelli, great-grandchildren Isabella, Elizabeth and Sophia Comelli, and Giovani Padilla. A viewing will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park , Whittier on Sept 27th from 5-8 P.M. The funeral service will be at Rose Hills on Sept 28th at 11 A.M. His memorial service in Bakersfield will be held on Sunday October 6th at 3 P.M. at Iglesia Bautista Esperanza Viva, 1431 Lincoln St. Bakersfield, Ca. 93305. A special thank you to the staff of the Rosewood Health Center for your excellent care and attention of Angel. Dad's favorite saying was "better than ever".
