Angela Kent Harrison(1968 - 2013)

Angela Kent Harrison September 04, 1968 - April 19, 2013 Angela Kent Harrison, 44, went to be with her Lord on April 19, 2013 at her home in Bakersfield, CA, with her cherished family by her side. Angela was born on September 4, 1968 in Bellflower, California to Richard and Regina Kent. She attended West High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the California State University, Fresno in 1993, where she met and then married, the love of her life, Graham Harrison. Having given her life to Jesus, Angela truly lived to love her neighbor, profoundly touching the lives around her in countless ways. Any time she met a stranger, she walked away with a new friend. Her passion and her prayer were to love others and to lift them up. Angela was an amazing example to all those around her of the power of a life surrendered to Jesus and though her life was too short, her ministry lives on. Angela, an athletic person and formidable tennis player, loved the outdoors and being in nature. Her greatest joy was to use her creative talents to make gifts for her family and friends. She loved to craft, make jewelry, and knit for others. A great baker, Angela was especially known for her delicious cookies. She enjoyed reading, photography, and had a flair for decorating. Anything Angela did, she did 'to the nines'. Angela was a proud member of Delta Gamma Sorority and The Winers Club. While successful in everything that she undertook, Angela felt that her success came from being God's love in the world. Angela's family meant everything to her. She is survived by her loving husband, Graham; her parents, Richard and Regina; her brother, John; his wife, Tiffanie; and their daughters, Riley and Sierra, all of Bakersfield, CA. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, May 2nd, at 11:00 AM at The Bridge Bible Church at 12225 Stockdale Highway, followed by a 1:00 PM reception at Stockdale Country Club. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations are sent to the and Optimal Hospice Foundation. Angela used her Six Life Lessons to be an amazing and uplifting person to everyone she encountered. Above all, she embraced "Don't let anything steal your joy, your ability to laugh and love." Angela's family asks that you continue her legacy.
