Armando L. Borunda(1939 - 2013)

Armando L. Borunda 1939 - 2013 Armando was born in San Miguel, New Mexico on September 9, 1939 and went Home to God on October 12, 2013 in Lamont, California. Armando a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army, a graduate of Bakersfield College, then worked for the County of Kern for over 30 years as a supervisor. Armando loved the Lord and showed his appreciation as a devoted member volunteering as a extraordinary minister, lector and greeter for many years at St. Augustine Church in Lamont. He also served as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband to his wife Linda for 52 years, an amazing father to his daughters, Tammy Borunda, Brenda Borunda Lopez and her husband Alfredo Lopez, an outgoing grandfather to his grandsons, Nicholas and Adam Lopez whom he loved golfing and camping with. He is also survived by his siblings whom he loved very much, Wilma (Jim) Gaither, Sheila Garcia and Ted (Lori) Parker along with many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Preceding him in death is his mother, Concha Lujan and brother, David Borunda who welcomed him into the Lord's house. Viewing and Rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Augustine with Mass of the Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
