Christina Ann Ortiz(1981 ~ 2013)

Christina Ann Ortiz 1981 ~ 2013 Christina Ann Ortiz of Bakersfield, CA, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 9, 2013. Born on October 2, 1981, to Rudy and Pat Rangel, Christina attended Arvin High School and later graduated from nursing school. She loved her nursing job at Taft Prison (TCI), where she and her husband, Christopher, both worked and met. Christina was a blessing to all who knew her. She was always happy and full of joy. She would sacrifice anything of herself to please others. Everything about her made you want to be a better person. Christina was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rudy, Sr. and Elydia Rangel and Adolph and Frances Gonzales. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Ortiz; and four children, Kayla, Seth, Jonathan, and Joell. She is also survived by her parents, Rudy and Pat Rangel; her siblings, Lennie and Chris Guerrero, Lillie Hearron, and Simon Rangel; her father- and mother-in-law, Elvin and Chrissy Ortiz; and siblings, Elvin, Jr., Vanessa and Daniel Ortiz. She leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, family, and friends who loved her and stood beside her throughout her fight with cancer. Her family would like to thank Optimal Hospice and her friends and family in Taft for always showing her such love and support throughout her battle. A church service for Christina will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at New Life Center, 4201 New Stine Rd.
