Delbert(10-20-26 - 4-26-13)

Delbert "Lefty" Dryden 10-20-26 - 4-26-13 Lefty was born in Santa Maria, CA. Upon graduation he joined the Navy to serve in WWII. He served from October 1944 to June 1946. In the Navy he served on the air craft carrier USS Savo Island. In December of 1946 he started a career with PG&E as a laborer and retired in May 1983 as a line crew foreman. He loved his job, building power lines across the state. After retirement he opened D&G bowling pro shop and later retired for good. He was an avid swimmer, golfer, bowler and motorcycle rider. His true passion was hunting and fishing. Lefty was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Geraldine and Sister Peggy. He is survived by his son Alan and wife Shirlee daughters Debra and husband Frank, Caryn May and his sister Carol. Viewing will be held on May 2nd from 1-5 p.m., services will be at 10 a.m. on May 3rd at Mission Family Mortuary at 531 California ave. with Military burial at 12:30 in the Kern National Cemetery.
