Donald Bryan Combs(1944 - 2013)

Donald Bryan Combs 1944 - 2013 Don was born on January 5, 1944, in Bakersfield to Jewell and Riley Combs. After a three year battle with cancer, he died the evening of Monday, June 17, surrounded by his loving family. Don raised his children and lived in Bakersfield his entire life. He was the Controller of Jerilco Inc., Business Manager for G & G Oilfield Maintenance and owner/operator of Aspen Window Screen Service. A graduate of Fresno State College, he was President of his fraternity. He also served in the Marine Corps Reserves. He was very active in Rotary and was a dedicated donor at Houchin Blood Bank. He will be most fondly remembered for his dry sense of humor, his sweet disposition and devotion to his family. Preceded in death by his parents and twin sister Karen Charlton who died in April, he is survived by his daughter Holly & Scott Miller, son Adam Combs, stepsons Chris and Beau Lindsey, former daughter-in-law Amy Combs, adored granddaughters Victoria and Shane Combs and Eden Miller, his siblings Beverly Lamb, Gary and Gloria Combs, Brenda and Jim Sell, Carol and Collette Lair, the mother of his children Judy Oyen and best friends Bill Ballard and Shelley Kraft. Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery on River Blvd @ Panorama Drive.
