Elaine Camille Blume September 27, 1954 ~ March 12, 2013 Elaine was born in Columbus, OH, to John Henry and Jean Ann Blume, the second of six children. She was preceded in death by her father on March 12, 1999. Elaine is survived by her mother, Jean Blume; her sisters, Susan Swita (Walter), Deborah Childress (Gary), and Cheryl Blume; brothers, John and Richard Blume; three nephews, Charles, Benjamin (Marie), and Camden Swita; and great-niece, Hailey Marie Swita. She is also survived by her loving friends, the Streiff Family: Rod, Betty, Lori, Tim, Kat, Lindsay, Aaron, Kadin, Tristan, and Quinn; and her dear pets, Possum, Star, and Wyatt. Elaine lived more than 40 years in Bakersfield, where she attended Highland High School, Bakersfield College, and Federico's Beauty School. She worked at Brocks, Avanti, Gottschalks, and Le Salon and enjoyed working as a hairstylist. She was blessed with a loving family, as well as many wonderful friends, co-workers, and clients. Her priority throughout life was kindness to others. She always had a cheerful and friendly attitude and was always ready to help those in need. Elaine will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Her faith was deep, quiet, and certain. She prayed daily. Services for Elaine were held on March 15, 2013, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
