Enedina Aguilar(1923 - 2012)

Enedina Aguilar November 26, 1923 - September 2, 2012 Our beloved mother, Enedina Aguilar took the hand of Jesus and went into eternal rest on September 2nd, 2012. Mom was born in Del Rio, Texas on November 26, 1923 to Patricio Aguilar and Petra Sanchez. She was a homemaker and was also employed as an independent labor contractor for many years. Her hobbies consisted of gardening in her yard, playing pool at Wavie's and the Lucky Spot; playing "loteria" with her friends; her Sunday ritual, playing "Texas style" rummy--which means she cheated each and every time she played; and her spontaneous trips to Lemoore and to The Bingo Palace with her sons to play bingo. If she wasn't calling someone a "crying baby", she was telling someone to "sheddup, you make me too nervous". She was preceded in death by her parents; Patricio, and Petra; her two sons; Pressie Hernandez, and Juan Hernandez Jr.; her only daughter; Martha Hernandez Acosta; her three brothers; Reynaldo Sanchez, Luciano Sanchez, Jr., and Santiago Sanchez, her two sisters; Jessie Aguilar, and Noemi Sanchez. She is survived by her four sons; Richard Hernandez, (Sandy), Evie Pena, (Debbie), Bobby Pe?,(Diane), and Leonard Pe?, (Denny); five brothers, Juan Manuel Sanchez (Juanita), Pedro Sanchez (Esmeralda), Israel Sanchez (Faviola), Armando Sanchez (Estella), and Armando Aguilar (Annie); and two sisters, Ofelia Torrez, and Alice Tinoco (Ralph). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Alec Brenoel, Mark Hernandez, Anthony Hernandez, Tommy Mendoza, John Pe?, and Evie Pe?. Viewing will be Tuesday, September 11th, 2012. It will begin at 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. The rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., both held at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 River Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12th, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 601 E. California Ave. A thank you to Cyndi Ranjel, R.N.; Mercy Hospital Hospice, Diane Hernandez, and Maria; and Alice Rea, who took care of mom. A very special thank you to Tommy Lopez, her loyal bingo buddy, companion, and caretaker who helped make her last years enjoyable. www.bakersfield.com/obits
