Glenn Jacob Reyneveld(1954 - 2012)

Glenn Jacob Reyneveld December 21, 1954 - September 29, 2012 The Reyneveld family mourns the loss of their dear brother, Glenn Jacob, who passed away September 29, 2012. Glenn was born in Artesia, California. He moved to Arvin with his family in 1971 where his father operated a dairy. He attended Arvin High School, Class of '73, and graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1977. Glenn went on to serve in the Marine Corps, completing his active service in 1981. In the subsequent years, Glenn frequently found his way back to the dairy in Arvin, assisting his father. The later years of his life were spent tending his almond orchard, part of the estate left to him by his parents. In the past year, Glenn attended St. Luke's Anglican Church in Bakersfield and enjoyed singing in the choir. His attendance there was one of the highlights of his week. Glenn wished to express his heartfelt appreciation for his family, who were a great help and comfort to him in the last months of his life. He leaves behind his sisters Ellen (Dan) Vander Mey, Beatrice Reyneveld, Hilda (Buck) Klein, Janette Slegers, and brothers Josh (Martha) Reyneveld, Richard (Vicki) Reyneveld, Clarence (Lisa) Reyneveld, Willy (Kristi) Reyneveld, Kennedy Reyneveld, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Throughout the course of his illness, Glenn lived out his faith believing and trusting in the sovereignty of God and in Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior of his life. "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." II Cor. 4:17 Services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012. Private graveside service; memorial service, 11:00 a.m., at St. Luke's Anglican Church.
