Glenn's choice of text compels a note. The best sermon I ever heard was on the companion text Romans 8:18: For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us." CS Lewis wrote a celebrated sermon "The Weight of Glory" on the theme early in the Second War. Read it. You folks have my heartfelt sympathy. I have not forgotten the short time I had on the farm Nooit Gedacht. Tony VandenEnde

My heart goes out to you as your mourn Glenn's passing. My brothers and I attended Arvin High with most, if not all, of the Reyneveld siblings. We considered you friends and appreciated your friendship. I hope you find comfort in your memories of Glenn, especially those that make you laugh.

I had heard from my brother, Gerald Van Leeuwen, that Glenn was very sick. Death often comes unexpected though. We trust that you will feel the comfort and presence of the Holy Spirit at this time of your great loss. In Christ's love, Dick and Nelly Rietveld (Van Leeuwen)

On behalf of the Dotinga family I wish to extend our deepest sympathy in the loss of your brother. Glenn became a part of our family for a time when he boarded with us. He was like a big brother to my sister and I after our own brothers had moved out. He was a very kind and caring person.
May you take comfort in knowing that Glenn has gone home to be with our Lord. And may God surround you with his peace and comfort during this difficult time.
Sincerely, Tina(Dotinga)Kampen

To Glenn's Siblings:
I am so sorry to hear of your brother's passing. I had no idea he was ill; he was far too young, and it seems to me the promises of his life here on earth were missed before he was called home to be with his Savior. I had wanted to attend the memorial service at St. Luke's to honor Glenn, but I find circumstances make that impossible for me to travel from Oceanside. I was so touched that Glenn attended my late husband's funeral in 2010, making the long trip from Bakersfield to Fallbrook. He had also intended to visit me and bring a friend, but then sent me a note cancelling. Perhaps this is when he became ill. I want to express my sincere sympathies for the loss of your dear brother, and to express that I too share in your grief in some measure. Sincerely,
Mary Beth Reyneveld
