Joshua Wayne Silvis of Bakersfield, California died unexpectedly Friday, March 14. He was 42. Josh had strong vibrant energy and a big heart. He touched every life in a different way. He was a father, son, brother and friend. Some remember Josh from high school as rebellious and throwing caution to the wind. Most recently people knew him as a dedicated father and a diligent student. The birth of his daughter Emily gave him the drive and ambition to earn his masters degree. Josh lived many chapters in the book of life, unfortunately, the final chapter came too soon.
He is survived by Emily, brother Randy M. Silvis, and mother Jan Lewy.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 22, at 11am at Union Cemetery, Bakersfield CA.
