PATSY LOU RENICK(1942 - 2013)

Patsy Lou Renick March 24, 1942 - March 25, 2013 Patsy Lou Renick was born March 24, 1942 in Bakersfield, California to Eugene and Gladys Nickell. She passed away peacefully on March 25, 2013 in Bakersfield with her family and friends by her side. Patsy was preceded in death by her mother, her father and her only sister Imogene Owens of Ada, Oklahoma. Patsy is survived by her husband Virgil of 56 years; four sons, Jerry and his wife Cindy Renick, Ken and his wife Ruth Renick, Tim Renick and Darren Renick; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Carlos and Arthur Nickell; numerous other family members and many friends; including her loving cousin, Lucille Penny and best friend Judy Mann. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Patsy worked at the Rice Bowl for many years and was affectionately nicknamed "little girl" by her friends there. She will be remembered as a country girl who enjoyed country music; her favorite was always George Jones. Patsy also loved her flower garden and growing Irises was her favorite it was her goal to plant as many colors as she could find. But more than anything she loved her family, friends and spending time with them. Family or friends never left a gathering at Patsy's house on an empty stomach. The family would also like to extend a special "Thank You" to all the staff at Hoffman Hospice for their support and help during this difficult time. Visitation for Patsy Lou Renick will be held at Mish Funeral Home (120 Minner Avenue) on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Graveside Services will be held at Shafter Cemetery in Shafter, California on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Mish Funeral Home www.bakersfield.com/obits
