Priscilla Faith Dohse Bennett(2013 - 2013)

Priscilla Faith Dohse Bennett December 14, 1932 - October 24, 2013 Priscilla Faith Dohse Bennett, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, breathed her first breath of Heaven's air on October 24, 2013. Priscilla breathed her first breath of earth's air on December 14, 1932, in Dayton, Ohio. She met her husband, Ronald Bennett, while students at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Married June 5, 1954, they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2014. God blessed Priscilla with five children, Debi (Steve) Benson, Brenda (Mike) Dallmann, Eric (Patty), Lowell (Toni) and Rolf (Stephanie), 13 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and they loved and cherished her. Priscilla loved to travel. She and Ron visited all 50 states, traveled to Egypt, Israel, Jordan, and many European countries, including two visits to the Oberammergau Passion Play. As the devoted wife of a Lutheran pastor, she ministered with Ron in Irving, TX, and in the following California cities: Lancaster, Bakersfield, Pacifica, Lompoc, Brownsville, Santa Ynez, Frazier Park, and Lake Isabella. They also served three ministries while living in New Zealand. Priscilla taught kindergarten at Longfellow School in Bakersfield, and for a brief time was employed by See's Candies in So. San Francisco. She was a member of Mended Hearts and Parkinson's Support Group. Priscilla loved to study the Bible; she participated in Bible Study Fellowship, Community Bible Study, and many others. She taught Sunday School to children and adults, she loved reading, scrapbooking, journaling, genealogy, going on walks with Ron, watching baseball (Cincinnati Reds!), and baking. She even won several awards for her baking. A celebration of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church, 6700 Lakewood Dr., Frazier Park. Priscilla's favorite color was red - the family invites you to dress comfortably in colors that will brighten the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Priscilla Bennett to Lutheran Braille Evangelism Assoc., 1740 Eugene St., White Bear Lake, MN 55110-3312.
