Roy David Grijalva Jr.(1977 - 2013)

Roy David Grijalva Jr. May 26, 1977 - February 14, 2013 Roy David Grijalva Jr. was born on May 26, 1977 to his mother, Sandra Abina and his father, Roy David Grijalva Sr. and went to his eternal rest unexpectedly on February 14, 2013. David was raised in Bakersfield and was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Eulalia Chavarria; and his father, Roy David Grijalva Sr. David began his career at Union Cemetery and was given an opportunity to branch out into the oil fields where he had worked for the past seven years. He was one of the strongest men you could ever meet, with family being his priority. He enjoyed waking up and heading to the gym before beginning his work day in order to devote his entire evening to his wife and children. He saw his wife Courtney as "beyond beauty" because of her loving and nurturing heart. Together they created a family bound by love, laughter, and devotion. His greatest joy in life was watching his children succeed in every endeavor they attempted. He enjoyed being the loudest, most spirited coach on the softball and baseball diamonds and the biggest cheerleader on the soccer and football sidelines. He believed the love and life he invested into his home destined his family for greatness. David was a hard-working man whose most important goals in life were to be a wonderful husband, father, son, grandson, brother, and protector to all. He lived a lifetime every day he was with Courtney and their family. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Courtney; their eldest son of strength, Gabriel; four princesses, Isabela "Rosie", Shyne, Yasmine, Hope, and adorable baby David; his mother, Sandra Abina; his maternal grandparents, Antonio and Irene Chavarria; his paternal grandmother, Veronica Rodriguez; his sister and family, Veronica Grijalva-Rodriguez, her spouse Alex, their children, Matthew and Lola Rose Rodriguez; his brother, Samuel Roy Grijalva.
