Stephan Otto Geese(1923 - 2013)

Stephan Otto Geese December 22, 1923 - January 13, 2013 Stephan Otto Geese passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family and went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2013 at the age of 89. He was born on December 22, 1923 in Klausenburg, Romania to Karl and Magdelina Gecse. Stephan spent his childhood in Vienna, Austria. He was retired 20 years at the time of his passing. Stephan got a degree in electrical engineering and became a Professional Engineer. During his career he obtained a Master's in Environmental Science. When he was 40 years old Stephan immigrated to America and had a rewarding professional career which brought him work in the Middle East, the Far East, South America, and Europe. In his later years Stephan moved to Bakersfield, CA and opened the PC House which sold computers to the public and the legal community. Stephan, a man who had boundless energy, channeled that energy and almost single-handedly added a two story addition to his home so he and his wife Gabriole could enjoy the city lights over the valley. Stephan enjoyed working with his hands and was always doing things around the home. His favorite activities for relaxation were playing pool, ping pong, chess, downhill skiing, playing the piano, painting, listening to classical music, swimming, cooking gourmet meals, and writing his memoirs. Stephan was married to Gabriole for twenty years and they formed many happy memories together. He is deeply missed by his wife Gabriole, his children, grandchildren, Vienna family members, and all who knew his vibrant creative spirit. Stephan is survived by wife, Gabriole Zeviar-Geese; daughters, Hilda Geese, Edith Kunihiro, and Monica Torquato; brother, Franz Gecse; sisters, Maria Stritzl and Erica Radlinger; and grandchildren, Brian Kunihiro, John Torquato, and Nicole Torquato; and his entire Vienna family in Austria. Stephan's friends and business associates; surviving spouse Gabriole's friends of the bench and the bar, her neighbors, and friends are invited to join in a Celebration of Stephan's life Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA.
