Virginia Davidson Memoriam

In Loving Memory of Virginia Belle Davidson (Iseminger) 1917 - 2012 Virginia B. Davidson of Bakersfield, died Sunday, August 19. She was born December 26, 1917, in Youngsville, PA. She was the daughter of Carl E. and Sigrid Sandberg Anderson. She was a graduate of Pasadena City College and completed the nursing program at Los Angeles County Hospital where she met her future husband, Dr. Willis Iseminger. Upon completion of Willis' residency, they moved to Bakersfield where Dr. Iseminger became the first radiologist in the area. For many years, they had an active social life and enjoyed many good times with family and friends. Dr. Iseminger died in 1956 leaving Virginia to raise her two children, Joan and Jim. She returned to nursing at San Joaquin Hospital. In 1962, she met and married Thad Davidson and relocated to Tustin, CA. In 1967, Thad passed away. In 2000, she moved back to Bakersfield to be near her children and grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Marc Stanley Pfeiffer. She is survived by her daughter, Joan I. Morrow; her son, James W. Iseminger (Shirley); granddaughters, Candice Holden (Robert), Tiffany Brink (Jeff), and Heidi McCraw (Dustin); and six great-grandsons, Henri and Mitchell Holden, Tristan and Tyler Brink, and Logan and Miller McCraw. Special thanks to Hoffmann Hospice, in particular the great care provided by Lydia, Ann, and Juanita. Special thanks to Dr. Maria Garcia for her many years of care and friendship. A final special thanks to Gloria, her caretaker at the end, for making the transition so comfortable. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hoffman Hospice or the American Heart Association. www.bakersfield.com/obits
