Charles William Weimer(1926 - 2009)

Charles William Weimer 1926 - 2009 Graveside services for Charles William Weimer will be held on Friday, October 23, 11:00 a.m., at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Lane. Charles went home to be with the Lord and the Love of his life on October 17, 2009. Charles was born to Charles "Sam" and Elise Weimer on February 2, 1926. In 1947 he met and married his wife, Beatrice Mount. They were married for 57 years. Beatrice preceded him in death in 2004. After moving to Bakersfield in 1951 he joined the Carpenter's Union and became the foreman for Womack Construction. During those years his passion for baseball lead him to coach through GBA for his son's teams for three years. After retirement in the 1980's he continued his hobby of Cabinetry and he never missed an LA Dodger game. Additional passions were his love for fishing in Mammoth Lakes and traveling. Charles leaves behind his brothers, Howard Weimer and wife Thelma, Carl Weimer and wife Alice; daughter, Pam Rubinol and husband Jess; son, Charles Weimer and wife Marsha; and daughter, Cindy Myers. Also eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks goes to Gladys Copeland for the caring and companionship of our dad. The family would like to also thank San Joaquin Hospital and staff for all there loving care and support. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Southwest. And last, to our dad, "You never said I'm leaving, you never said goodbye, but you were gone before we knew why. If love alone could've saved you, you never would've died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you that day God took you home." We will love and miss you forever and always. Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary
