Frances Martha Haggard November 10, 1921 - October 21, 2010 Frances Martha Haggard was born in Sapulpa, OK on November 10, 1921 and moved to Bakersfield, CA in 1937. She and her husband James L. Haggard wed on October 13, 1946 and lived in Bakersfield until 1976 when they moved to Redding , CA residing there until her husband's death in 1996. She moved back to Bakersfield to be closer to her family, where she resided till her death. She enjoyed playing golf weekly with her friends while living in Redding, also enjoyed sewing and crocheting gifts for her family. She loved traveling with her husband and spending time with her family and friends. Frances left this world to be with the Lord and her husband. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Lowell Haggard, her parents; son, Richard Powell and her siblings. She is survived by her son, James L. Haggard, Jr. and daughter-in-law Elaine Haggard; granddaughters, Amy and Sarah Haggard; great-granddaughter, Paige Haggard and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Hallmark of Bakersfield for loving and caring for Frances in her last moments. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. Graveside service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 24, 2010, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Greenlawn Mortuary www.bakersfield.com/obits
