Morris Bowen Obituary

Morris Ray Bowen April 2, 1938 - November 26, 2010 Morris was born to Murriel and Hazel Bowen in Morrilton, AR. The family moved to Bakersfield in 1952 where he attended North High. At 18 he joined the Army and became a Paratrooper. After serving his country he met and married his wife of 30 years, Margaret. They had 3 children together. Morris was then widowed and married Charyle, who for the last 17 years of his life has always been by his side. He is survived by his children, Regina Ransom, Ronnie Hart, and Clark Bowen; his grandchildren, Joshua Crane, Megan Vangel, Brittanie Sandoval, Brandon, Brody, Brooke Hart, Jacqueline and Brent Bowen; his brother, Hubert Bowen; and nieces, Christine Wilson and Ruth Miles. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sara Ransom. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the Hoffmann Hospice for their genuine care and support. Viewing will be Friday, Dec. 3, from 5-8 p.m., at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California Ave., with Services on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 12:00 p.m. www.bakersfield.com/obits
