Jeaneen Marjean French

1968 - 2013

Jeaneen Marjean French September 17, 1968 - July 14, 2013 Jeaneen was born in Bakersfield, Ca to Martin and Ellen Gayent. Her last name when her mother later married Robert W. French. Jeaneen grew up in Northern California graduating from Milpitas High School. She later moved to Southern California graduating from the University of California, Northridge. During her formative years Jeaneen spent her summers in Bakersfield with her grandparents, Rev. LeCostel Hailey, Sr. and Earnie Mae Hailey. Jeaneen gave her life to Christ at an early age, but she rededicated her life when she moved to Bakersfield in 2005 uniting with the St. John Missionary Baptist Church. As a Sunday School teacher Jeaneen loved to minister to the young teens. Jeaneen was known to bring laughter and encouragement to everyone who knew her. Jeaneen also loved dogs. Her greatest loves were her two "girls" Brooklyn and Jazmyn. They brought her so much joy especially during her difficult times. Jeaneen was a 10-year cancer survivor, but she never lost her spirit, her faith, or her praise. Jeaneen leaves to cherish her memory a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a wake to follow from 6-8 p.m. at "The Chapel" of Beloved Care Funeral Services on 711 E. Brundage Ln.
