ADA PARK Obituary

Ada was the last of the three Kim girls born to Rev. Tark and Kyung Cha Kim. As a "PK (Pastor's Kid)", she grew up in Delano, attending schools and then attending Woodbury University in Los Angeles, CA.
On July 23, 1955, she married John W. Park. Soon after John's graduation from optometry school, she began her life again in Delano. She managed the optometry office while raising two sons and an active volunteer in the church and community, which she called home.
She was a lifelong United Methodist, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed participating and supporting church activities, her sons activities and was an avid Dodger fan.
Later in life, her and John moved to Bakersfield to be closer to their granddaughters. Soon after John's passing in 2006, she was diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's.
She is survived by her two sons and their families, Matthew and Julie, granddaughters, Mary Kim and Leah, and Mark and Lori, granddaughters, Rebecca and Amanda. And, she is also survived by her oldest sister, Eva McArthur along with many nieces, nephews and good friends.
At this time, a private, family graveside service is pending.
