Aileen Yvette Bardwell Garcia

1929 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
Aileen Yvette Bardwell Garcia Obituary
Aileen Yvette Bardwell Garcia 1929 - 2013 Aileen was born in Atoka, OK, to Westille and Dessie Bardwell. She married Ralph Garcia (Kern Pump Company) and had a son Tim, and a daughter Diane, while living in Bakersfield, CA. She found much enjoyment spending time with her family and friends at her condo in Lake Tahoe and had a wonderful life in Santa Cruz, CA, where she was a successful business woman. Aileen was such a "Classy lady" and was held with much respect by so many people. She encouraged many to become the person that they dreamt to be. Those who met her for the first time would leave with an admiration for Aileen and an inspiration knowing that regardless of age, you can always enjoy life. She will be remembered in the hearts of all the people whose lives she touched. Aileen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ralph Garcia; sisters Eddis Deason, Addie Ellis, Ola Fink, Margarite Arland; and brother James Bardwell. She is survived by her loving son Tim Garcia, owner of Allied Steam, and wife Lou Ann; daughter Diane Davis and husband Mike; grandchild Chris Davis (Heather); 3 great-grandchildren; sisters Audrey Bergin, Delene Armstrong and husband Sid; brother Virgil Bardwell and wife Ruby; her very special nephews Leonard Deason and wife Tressa, and Geary Deason. She also leaves behind her special friends who were very dear to her, Jack and Monica Silipan, whose friendship is forever lasting. She had numerous family and friends that she loved dearly. Aileen was truly loved and will be dearly missed forever in our hearts and our thoughts. Our family would like to give a special thank you to Ramon Verde from Mercy Home Health Care who fondly knew Aileen as "Miss July" and always made her laugh, as well as caregivers Teresa Blue, Nicky Wright, Amanda Popoy and Gentiva Hospice. We appreciate all that you did for our mom and for your genuine care. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be. So He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, "come to me." You didn't deserve what you went through, So He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. And when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain I could not wish you back To suffer that again. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Greenlawn Southwest, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93313. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Gentiva Hospice or to your favorite animal rescue. www.bakersfield.com/obits
