Aldon F. "Brownie" Brown October 1, 1925 - October 21, 2012 Brownie was born on October 1, 1925 in Stigler, Oklahoma. He married Marjorie Leach in September 1944. They moved to Bakersfield in 1950. In 1955 Brownie started Brownie's Welding and Bit Shop, and later started C.P. Mining and Construction Company until he semi-retired in 2010. He was a loyal and trusted member of the Caladonia Masonic Lodge, the Bakersfield Shrine Club where he served as president, the Royal Order of the Jesters, and Footprinters. He was a member of the Bakersfield Country Club for many years and enjoyed playing golf. He was also a member of the Oil Field Trash Group. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Marjorie. He is survived by two of his siblings; John Brown of Idaho, and Margret Eslick of California, two children; Carolyn Rambo and Steven Brown and daughter in law Vicki, five grandchildren; Devin Rambo, Darci Simpson, Corey Brown, Amy Thomas, and Jonathan Brown, seven great-grandchildren; Caden Taverner, Nathaniel and Sarah Simpson, Keelin and Finn Rambo, Jacob and Catalina Brown, honorary family members Beth Upton and Donna Costello, and an extraordinary number of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and friends. A viewing will be Sunday, October 28th, from 4-8 P.M. Services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 29th. www.bakersfield.com/obits
