Alexander Rosas Paredez Obituary
Paredez went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, after battling a lengthy illness. Alexander was born on August 4, 1951, in beautiful Lubbock, TX. He was later raised in both China Grove, TX,
and Colorado City, TX.
In his teen years, Alexander moved to California with his parents, eight brothers, and one sister and settled in Arvin, CA. He attended Arvin High School where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Irene Barrios. Alexander worked 25 years for ARCO Gas & Oil, 6 years as a Corrections Officer at the California City Federal Penitentiary, and 6 years with Crimson Oil & Gas Company.
Alexander was preceded in death by his parents, Mauro and Enriqueta; brothers, Mauro, Jr. and Mike; son, Ariel; and mother-in-law, Carolin. He is survived by his brothers, Felix and wife, Maria, Fred and wife, Maria, Henry and wife, Yolanda, John, Sr. and wife, Linda, Arthur, and Jim and wife, Ruth; sister, Anita Mendoza; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are John Paredez, Jr., Manuel Paredez, Andy Lee Mendoza, Arthur Paredez, Jr., Felix Paredez, Jr., Charlie Hummell, Jr., Rick Garza, and Edward Mil, III.
A visitation will be held Sunday, March 23, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Celebration of Life Center, 2739 Panama Lane.
