Anne Leonard Obituary

Anne "Dolly" Leonard 1926 - 2010 Funeral services for Anne "Dolly" Leonard will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel (3312 Niles Street) on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Anne was born on May 14, 1926 in McKeesport, PA. In 1950 she moved to California with her husband Jack, the love of her life. They settled down in Bakersfield in 1956 where they raised a family and made a wonderful life. Jack passed away in 1980, and Anne continued to live in Bakersfield where she shared her life with family and many friends. Anne loved the Lord, and it is comforting to know she has reunited with Jack and is at peace with our Father in Heaven. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Dorn; her brother, Paul Dorn; and her beloved husband, John F. (Jack) Leonard. She is survived by her sister, Mary Case; her daughter, Barbara Brewer and husband David; her son, Jack Leonard and wife Leann; her six grandchildren, Brian Wilson, Shawn Wilson Odyssey, Daniel Brewer, Matthew Leonard, Maryanne Leonard, and Jennifer Brewer; and her six great-grandchildren, Claire and Audrey Wilson, Jacob Brewer and Alexis Stancliff, Cosette and Chaucer Leonard; and many loving extended family members. Anne was known by many friends as "Dolly" and by most family members as "Nana." No matter what name she was known by, she was loved by all who had the honor of having her in their lives. She will be missed. For additional service information, contact Basham Funeral Care at 873-8200. Basham Funeral Care www.bakersfield.com/obits
