He attended local schools in Mobridge, SD and in 1963 married his high school sweetheart Carlotta Bollinger. He started his career with General Tire and Rubber Company in Phoenix, AZ. After five years, General Tire transferred him to Bakersfield, CA where he and Carlotta raised their two sons. Tony enjoyed his yearly family vacations along the California Coast and under the pines of Lake Tahoe. He looked forward to having dinners out, especially with his Friday night pizza group. Having his grandchildren around and being part of their many activities always made him happy. He was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

He will be missed by his wife Carlotta of 51 years, his son Stephen Quashnick (wife Michelle), son Scott Quashnick (wife Kendra) and his two grandchildren, Cole and Kailee Quashnick.
