Armando Rivera Obituary
Armando was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico and was the eldest son of Luis and Rosalila Rivera. As a young man he came to California. He settled in Bakersfield and Lamont. He met the love of his life, Lucy Ramos, a short time later. They married in 1964, and together had five children.
His deep faith guided him in every aspect of life. He lived to serve the Lord and he let "God's Will" light his path. He was very active in St. Augustine Church in Lamont where he made many lifelong friendships. He was devoted to his entire family and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. Among many things, one of his favorite pastimes was watching baseball, whether on TV, listening to the radio, or at the stadium.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Lucy, of 50 years, daughter Haidee Kramer and husband Brian, daughter Rosalia Tsang and husband Patrick, daughter Ileen Baldridge and husband Michael, son Ferdinand Rivera, and daughter Zujeili Turney and husband Jason. Grandchildren include: Adrianna, Cassandra and husband Aaron, Marissa, Nicholas, Noah, Nathan, Sara, Anthony, Mariah, Andrew, Arielle and soon to be born Baby Turney, as well as siblings, nieces and nephews.
Visitation and viewing will be held Sunday, January 19th, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, followed by a rosary at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd.
