Ashley Patricia Ross Obituary
Ashley arrived in Bakersfield, CA on May 19, 1998 to Bonita Rocha Ross and Kenneth Ross. She began her life journey here in Bakersfield before the family moved to Texas. Ashley also got the opportunity to live in Florida and New Mexico before returning to her birth place, Bakersfield.
Ashley grew to be a beautiful and strong young lady with a passion for life. She loved animals and on occasion would bring home strays. She loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed rollerblading, bike riding, volleyball, eating, and playing the game Just Dance. She also enjoyed the time she spent volunteering at Bike Bakersfield Kitchen. Ashley was proud to be a Native American of the Chalon Community here in Bakersfield.
After graduating from Emerson Middle School she started her high school years as a Driller at BHS. She was a member of the Choir and ROTC. After spending her freshman year at BHS she spent a short time as a Rebel at South High School. She once again joined the ROTC program. After her short time as a Rebel she moved on to become a Centennial Hawk and a member of the Choir. Ashley was building her relationship with God and was attending religious education classes at St. Francis Parish. She loved bright beautiful colors and often times wore the brightest thing she could find hanging in her closet. As her little brother would say "she was a show stopper".
Even in her passing Ashley will continue to live on through others.
She is survived by her parents, Bonita Rocha Ross and Kenneth Ross, sister, Krystal Fuller and husband Vance, brothers, Daniel and Jessie Ross, nieces, Kayle and Riley, many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and her favorite dog Kermit.
Ashley will be greatly missed and will live on forever in our hearts.
Recitation of the Rosary along with the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 27th, starting at 9:30am, at St. Francis Church, 900 H. St., Bakersfield, CA 93304. Interment will be at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 River Blvd., Bakersfield, CA 93305. All are welcome to attend.
The family would like to thank those who came to Ashley's aide on Feb. 4th, all the doctors, nurses and staff at KMC. We would also like to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support.
