Barbara Faye Durham was born February 26, 1937 to George and Lelar Kincannon in Morrilton, Arkansas and went to be with Jesus her Lord on February 11, 2016. The family moved to Lamont, CA and lived in the Sunset Labor Camp. She went to Arvin High and graduated from EBHS in 1955. Barbara married Bert Moosios and had two children, Tami and Todd, who were the loves of her life. She often said all she ever wanted to be was a mother.
Barbara was a hard working waitress, starting at the ice cream counter at Carnation and spending the last 25 years of her career at the Padre Coffee Shop. She married Donald Durham in 1981 and they spent the last 35 years together.
Her favorite place to go was Las Vegas and she was known to say she needed to get over there to win her Christmas money, which she usually did.
She loved the Lord and before she got sick wrote a song called "Make Me Like You Lord" and sang it like an angel.
Barbara loved football and the Denver Broncos and often won the football pool. She also loved horse racing, poker parties and anytime she could gather with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Don Durham; children Tami and Todd Moosios; sister, Louise Wells and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 18th at 10:00 a.m. at Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara.
We will see you in Heaven, Mom.
