Beatrice Victoria Marquez July 28, 1930 - August 11, 2012 Bea passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 11, 2012, after a short illness. She was born on July 28, 1930, in Sultana, California to Merced and Inez Garcia. Bea lived her early years in Visalia, California and resided in Bakersfield, California for 55 years. She is preceded in death by her three brothers, five sisters, and husband Raymond. Ray was her true love, her king, her everything. We will deeply miss her; she is unforgettable. She is survived by her son Mark Raymond Marquez; daughters Victoria Rambo (Don), Cynthia Marquez, Lori Howell (Ron), and Juli Marquez; niece/daughter Celia Thompson; grandchildren Ryan Smith (Rachel), Adrian Smith, Mindy Gannon, and Marina Marquez; great-grandchildren William, Noah, Jewel, Taylor, Dylan, and Ava; and brother Paul. The Marquez Family would like to give special thanks to Sally Garcia, Dr. Ashraf, and the caring staff at Glenwood Gardens. A service to celebrate Bea's life will be held Friday, August 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Boulevard, Bakersfield with graveside services to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the California Association of Highway Patrolmen Widows and Orphans' Trust Fund (916-452-6751) at P.O. Box 161209, Sacramento, CA 95816-1209.
