Bernardino "Benny" Andrade Sr. Obituary
Benny was born in Tocombo, Michoacan (Mex.) to the parents of Esperanza and Bernardino Andrade. Benny passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 11, 2014. During WWII at the age of 18 Benny was commissioned by the military to travel to America working as a farm laborer throughout the central valley. He began working as a baker at Andrew's Market and Bakery. Benny would eventually be hired by Pyrenees French Bakery where he would work for 30 years. During this time he began his own egg business known today as Andrade's Egg Ranch. This local family run business continues under the ownership of his son Benny Jr. and wife Miriam.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Oralia "Bebe" Andrade and brothers Raul, Bulmaro, and Xavier Andrade. He is survived by his daughter Irma Granillo, son-in-law John, son Benny Andrade Jr. , daughter-in-law Miriam, grandchildren Cristina Granillo, Brooke and Nathan Andrade, brothers Ubaldo and Eliazar Andrade, and sisters Evelia, Josefa, Rebeca, Esperanza, and Galfira Andrade.
Viewing will be held at Hillcrest Mortuary on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 5pm followed by a Rosary at 7pm. Mass will be at St. Joseph's Church 1515 Baker St. at 10am on July 17, 2014 burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
