Betty Lorrain Walker Obituary
Betty was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away on May 5th in her home. Betty was born October 10, 1925 in Culver California.
Betty was an extremely creative person and talented artist; her wonderful paintings can be seen in the homes of her loved ones everywhere. Betty worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses including Custom Engineering, Suzuki of Bakersfield, and Tobisch and Taylor Construction.
Her granddaughter Ashley's special thoughts, Heaven gained a very feisty woman this morning. I will always remember my grandmother for her colorful personality. Always rocking her blue eyeshadow and hoop earrings. She was a unique and very, very strong woman. She fought a painful battle for too long and I'm glad she is finally at peace and reunited with Del. I will miss you grandma but will remember you always.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Del Walker of 25 years, and her son John Tobisch. Betty is survived by her sister Carmel Rockwell daughter Marlene Tobisch Roux and husband Rick, son Steve Myrick and wife Amanda, step daughter Gloria Hooper and husband Larry. Grandchildren Darin Kizer, John Tobisch III, Poppy Tobisch, Richard Roux II, Scott Roux, Ashley Gearhart, Steven Myrick Jr. Great Grandchildren Taylor Tobisch, Madisun Tobisch, Rory Kizer and William Kizer, and Lyra Gearhart. Betty will be loved and missed and dearly remembered by all. Special thanks to Margie Benskin for her wonderful kindness she showed our mother while taking care of her this last year. Also, special thanks to Optimal Hospice for their outstanding care and thoughtfulness.
