Beulah Grace Johns

Beulah Grace Johns Obituary
Beulah was born November 23, 1920, and went to be with her Lord, January 25, 2014. She was born in Racine, Wisconsin to Josephine and Harold Iversen. Beulah was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, John "Jack" Johns, who went to be with the Lord in 2003. She is survived by her children, Sherrill and son-in-law, Irvin Byers; Dick and daughter-in-law, Inga Johns; Mike and daughter-in-law, Claudia Johns; Steve Johns; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and many others she considered family.
Beulah was a wonderful Christian woman involved in church and church activities. She was often playing the piano for services, and gave piano lessons. Beulah and Jack owned and operated the Fosters Freeze on Truxton Avenue, and made many of their customers friends for life. Over the years she also enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, and RVing with her family. Beulah no matter how busy was always available to spend time with her grandchildren, and was truly the epitome of what a grandmother should be.
Beulah is now with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and rejoicing with all of those who went before her. We, the family, hope that you too will be able to say the same and are also looking forward to seeing your love ones, as God has promised to those who have accepted him and claim him as their Lord and Savior.
We love you Mom for all that you have been and done, and the example you have shown us for all those years.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Basham Funeral Home, 3312 Niles Street, Bakersfield, from 5pm until 8pm. Service will be Thursday at 1:00pm, graveside to follow.
